pinpoint

overview

pinpoint is a mayday max game, in beta. find as many as you can before the clock runs out, or play zen with no clock. your best is saved for each mode and timer.

the timer is zen, 1, 3, or 5 minutes. it pauses while you read an answer or open a sheet, and when the app is in the background. skip a round you cannot find. a skip counts as a miss.

modes

• map, you get a place name. tap the map to drop a pin. use + and − to zoom. it counts when the pin lands close enough: 300 km if the map starts on the continent, 400 km on a wide view, 500 km on the whole world.
• satellite, a small picture shows the thing to find. tap where it is in the satellite view. inside the circle counts.
• scene, find one small thing in a crowded public-domain painting. tap where it is. inside the circle counts.

scoring

one point for each one you find. a fresh round does not open on the place you just played.

pictures

a set of rounds ships with the app. more satellite and scene rounds can download. the app asks first, and tells you how many and how big. your downloads setting is ask, wi-fi only, or any connection. bundled rounds work with no network.
