shade

overview

shade shows an outline with no borders, labels, or color. pick the correct name from the options on screen. you always have fewer guesses than options, so guessing at random will not work. shade is a mayday max game. the daily is included with max, and playing any one mode counts it. unlimited play keeps a streak that resets on a miss.

modes

• countries, a country outline. difficulty does not change which countries appear; it only changes how many options you see and how many guesses you get.
• objects, a shadow of an everyday object on easy and medium. hard mixes in animals and other traced creatures.
• places, states, provinces, and landmarks. easy, medium, and hard each draw from a different pool.

zoom

turn zoom on before your first guess. it starts cropped in and pulls back with each miss, so later guesses are easier and earlier guesses score as more confident. zoom locks once you have guessed. easy and medium start more tightly cropped than hard.

difficulty

higher levels add options and cut guesses. objects and places also swap which shapes you see. each mode tracks its own unlimited streak.
